6.4.06 - Hattie's Hat Restaurant - Ballard

An overcast late-Spring morning washed over the brick-laden streets of Ballard Avenue as our group descended upon Hattie's Hat Restaurant. Adjacent to the bustling Sunday Farmer's Market, Hattie's is as eclectic and storied as its surrounding neighborhood. A hundred year-old mural celebrating Seattle's pioneer-town roots balances Hattie's hipster vibe and whiskey-room environs. It's not your typical Brunch spot, but our group left well-fed and satisfied with the selection. With a brief visit from a Seattle Times photographer, Brunch has never mattered more.

3.19.06 - The Dish Cafe - Fremont / Ballard

Two short days after celebrating St. Patrick's Day, our Brunch group ventured to The Dish Cafe, situated on Leary Way between the Seattle neighborhoods of Fremont & Ballard. After a long wait outside (assuaged by the free drip coffee and brilliant sunshine), we were seated amongst a bustling morning crowd. Brunch proved to have been worth the wait, and The Dish has further solidified its adjoining neighborhoods as legitimate Brunch heavyweights among the Seattle ranks.
